The South Carolina Modern Language Review is a refereed, on-line journal sponsored by the Modern Languages faculty at Francis Marion University. The SCMLR was created in 2001 to provide a forum for literary scholarship in the Carolinas. The editors welcome articles or book reviews concerning literature written in any modern foreign language, although the articles themselves muse be written in English, French, German, or Spanish. We also welcome original prose or poetry written in French, German, or Spanish.

The Editors of the South Carolina Modern Language Review would like to thank you greatly for considering the SCMLR for considering us for your publication considerations.
However, for this upcoming year, we will be taking the year off to update and upgrade the journal to make it a better and more modern place to publish. Please come back in a year’s time when we have finished updating and bring your articles for publication!
